Ministries at Westside
Westside has a large heart for ministry. Below are just a few of the ministries that Westside has to offer. Please click on the ministries to learn more about each one and the specifics. There is always something going on all throughout the year with the various ministries. Click on a ministry below to learn more about the events and activities of each of them.
- Children's Ministry (Ages 4 through 5th grade)
Active is a great word used to describe our children’s ministry. The children have many opportunities during the year to grow in the basics of their faith through Bible study classes, Vacation Bible School, and AWANA.
- Student Ministry (6th through 12th Grade)
There are monthly fellowship's and trips that the teenagers can join in. Weekly Bible studies and worship geared towards students. Opportunities to participate in yearly mission trips and FUGE summer camp.
- Men's Ministry
The men meet monthly to share a breakfast meal and have a devotion before services. They plan service projects for the church and offer assistance to church members when needed.
- Women's Ministry
The women have a wide variety of activities and events throughout the year. They have fun day trips, lunches and dinners, weekend retreats, and attend women’s conferences periodically.
- Senior Adults
These seniors enjoy weekly Bible study classes as well as a monthly class taught by the pastor. They participate in yearly trips and quarterly rally’s within the Gwinnett Metro Baptist Association. They are an essential part of many ministries here at Westside.
- Music & Worship
If you enjoy singing in a choir or small ensemble there is a place for you in the music ministry at Westside. The Adult choir presents yearly Easter and Christmas musicals ands dramas as well as patriotic musicals for Holidays.
- ESL and Tutoring
Multi-level English Classes are offered to the community that meet twice during the week. There are also training and certified tutors that are available to help students with school work and to study for standard tests.
- H.O.P.E. Ministries
H.O.P.E. stands for Helping Other People to Eternity and it is the long arm used by the church to reach across the United states with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. H.O.P.E. uses Basketball clinics as a unique way to open hearts to Christ.
