Weekend HOPE CLINIC in Virginia, February 25-26
There will a weekend H.O.P.E. Clinic on February 25-26 and we are exciting about returning to the area where we were this past summer. There will be a follow up meeting this Sunday, January 15 at 5:00pm for all those who plan to participate. You do not have to have been on a previous H.O.P.E. team to participate in this weekend H.O.P.E. clinic.
H.O.P.E. stands for Helping Other People to Eternity. H.O.P.E. began 15 years ago in 1996 under the leadership of Pastor Ben Lehmann. As a former college basketball player Pastor Ben took his love for Jesus and his love for basketball and paired them together in a unique way of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. Teaching the art of shooting along with techniques that will improve your game. The clinics focus on what it takes to be a great player on the court as well as what it takes to be a great player in the game of life. During the course of the basketball clinic the H.O.P.E. team members share how you can win in life by having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. H.O.P.E. awards basketballs at each clinic to those who compete and show a hard work ethic. H.O.P.E. ministries has traveled to many different parts of the country leading basketball clinics in the following states or areas; North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, Chicago, Virginia, Washington D.C., San Diego, Atlanta,
middle and south Georgia, Indiana, West Virginia, and New York.

What a great week of missions this past summer. God used the HOPE team in a number of ways and we were able to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with hundreds of people in Farmville, Richmond and the surounding area. We saw 86 people come to faith in Christ this past year and over half of them were adult men. There were so maany great stories, make sure you grab a HOPE team member and ask them all out the trip.
We are already looking forward to a next year with H.O.P.E. ministries. There are 2 dates for the 2012 year that have been set. A single Saturday clinic in Virginia on February 25th and our mission trip June 9-16, 2012. Please begin to pray and ask God to use the HOPE Team this coming summer.
